During Magis and World Youth Day, over 300 young people from Jesuit-affiliated colleges and universities across the United States will participate in the Magis gathering in Salvador da Bahia during the days leading up to WYD and then experience World Youth Day together as pilgrim in Rio. Joining them will be almost 60 Jesuits from the U.S. who will act as chaperones and guides during the events and will participate as pilgrims themselves.
Along with Jesuits who will act as chaperones and guides during Magis and World Youth Day, young Jesuits from both the Jesuit Post and the Apostleship of Prayer will be contributing to the World Youth Day experience as well. The Jesuit Post will be covering the event with its own unique form of journalism, and will be contributing to this site as well. For more information go to: www.jesuitpost.org. The Apostleship of prayer, as it has in the past, will be providing programming along the Hearts on Fire retreat model, and will be preaching, playing music, and providing other opportunities for diverse prayer experiences. For more information on their work go to: http://www.apostleshipofprayer.org/heartsonfire.html
