The Jesuit Response

The Jesuit Conference is an endorsing member of NRCAT. The Jesuit Conference has also endorsed the “Principles for an Executive Order Banning Torture” drafted by NRCAT, Evangelicals for Human Rights, and the Center for the Victims of Torture. These principles provide the framework for an Executive Order to be issued by the President, the incumbent, or his successor, that would formally renounce the use of torture, as well as any inhumane treatment, by all agents of the United States government.
