Impact of Stimulus Funding on Poverty
The largest economic stimulus package ever in U.S. history, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) was signed into law on February 17, 2009. To better understand how the recovery bill is expected to have impact on domestic poverty, read the following resources:
- The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities has developed a special series, “Economic Recovery Watch”, with analysis of the effects of the American Reinvestment Act and other emergency government economic policies.
- ARRA 2009: State by State Estimates of Key Provisions Affecting Low and Moderate-Income Individuals is the full report released from the Center for Budget and Policy Priorities (CBPP)
- ARRA — Provisions that Promote Shared Recovery is a chart and summary of key provisions from the Coalition on Human Needs that provides an excellent and concise snapshot of important aspects of the Economic Recovery Bill that are expected to positively affect the poor
