Martin, 46, received a bachelor’s in social work from California State University, Los Angeles, and a Master of Divinity degree from St. John’s Seminary in Camarillo, California. His diverse work experience includes managing a shelter for runaway teens, coordinating outreach and liturgical ministries for a parish and serving as a human services representative for FEMA after Hurricane Katrina. He currently volunteers for the Jesuit Restorative Justice Initiative. (California Province)
