In 1556, St. Ignatius Loyola first purchased a printing press for the Society of Jesus in Rome. Ever since, Jesuits have viewed communications as central to our ministry of proclaiming the Gospel and participating in the larger social dialogue on key questions of our time. The Office of Communications maintains a speaker’s bureau designed as a resource for journalists seeking expertise and a Jesuit perspective on a wide-range of issues.
