Path to Priesthood: One Month Until Ordination

Radmar Jao is officially one month away from being ordained a priest, and if there is one thing he wants this vlog edition to communicate, it is his excitement at this next stage of his life as a Jesuit.

“I’m feeling excited that the time is coming…This is not the end of a journey. No, if anything the excitement is really in the knowing that a new stage of my life is beginning,” says Radmar.

As we follow Jao on his journey to ordination in June, leave a comment or ask a question here on the National Jesuit News blog, comment on YouTube or on Twitter via @AskAJesuit and he will respond in an upcoming future video diary. Check back weekly for more video diaries from Jao.

  • I would like to wish you all the best and I will pray for you when I say my rosary every day.
    God Bless,

  • Maureen:

Have used Youtube with religion class -junior high- really great connection with acting and Philippines.
Followed blog entries – particularly ‘discernment’
Envy the time the religious have to be intentional about their lives.
My experience seems to be looking for God after the fact rather than taking time and having guidance and support before the fact!
Everything seems to be so urgent to the young – developing a prayer life can be mechanical.
There may be observance without satisfactory relationship with Christ.
It seems prayer is the difference and the key, but even then guidance and community are needed.
There is so much lacking for the average person to live a spiritually satisfying life.
    Many thanks for ‘going public.’
    You have our prayers.
