James L. Rogers
Secretary for Communications

As the Secretary for Communications, Rogers is the primary communications advisor to the Jesuit Conference Board and serves as the official spokesman for the Conference.  He oversees all media relations, website content, internal communications, and the publication of National Jesuit News.  Rogers acts as a liaison between the Conference and communications works in the ten U.S. provinces and is a member of the advisory boards for both America and Company magazines.  In an international role, he represents the United States Assistancy concerning communications to the Jesuit Curia in Rome.

Rogers came to the Jesuit Conference in 2005 after more than ten years managing advertising and public relations within the healthcare industry, first with the American Cancer Society and most recently for MedStar Health’s National Rehabilitation Hospital in Washington.  He began his career as a writer for several history magazines after graduating from The George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs.

In addition to Rogers, a staff of three supports the Jesuit Conference Office of Communications:

Marcus Bleech, Publications Manager

Tricia Steadman-Jump, Media Relations Manager

Kaitlyn McCarthy, Communications Specialist
