First Ever Global Gathering of Jesuit High School Educators Planned

This July, education leaders from across the globe are coming to Boston for an historic event. The International Colloquium on Jesuit Secondary Education is the first-ever global gathering of high school educators in the over 460 year history of the Jesuits.

The conference is designed to strengthen collaboration between schools, helping them to train students to think within a global context. In addition, schools will share their experiences in providing top-quality education in the 21st century. To date, over 300 educators from around the globe have registered for the event, including those from schools in Africa, India and South America.

The summit, hosted by Boston College High School, has gained support from national and international leaders, including Jesuit Father General Adolfo Nicolas, head of the Society of Jesus. “I encourage all Jesuit secondary school networks to take advantage of this opportunity to advance the Society’s commitment to form leaders who can serve both the Church and the world,” said Nicolas.

The conference will be held from July 29 through August 2. You can find more information about the event here: www.icjse.org.
