Six Jesuit Universities Recognized for Community Engagement by Carnegie Foundation

Six Jesuit universities were among the 115 colleges and universities nationwide that the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching has awarded its Community Engagement Classification. The schools selected demonstrated institutional commitment and support for community service partnerships, as well as documentation of the impact such programs have had on the community.
The six Jesuit universities recognized by the Carnegie Foundation were:
- John Carroll University
- Loyola University Maryland
- Loyola University New Orleans (Loyola students engaged in service learning pictured above)
- Rockhurst University
- Saint Joseph’s University
- Seattle University
