The Jesuit Volunteer Corps (JVC) has 340 Jesuit Volunteers (JVs) living in communities and working at schools, health clinics, legal clinics, parishes and other local non-profit organizations during the 2010-11 volunteer year.
This year’s JVs come from 26 states and Washington, D.C., and graduated from 109 institutions of higher education. Of the 259 JVs who attended Catholic colleges and universities, 218 joined JVC from Jesuit institutions.
Boston College has 30 JVs currently, making it the most well-represented alma mater in JVC this year; Santa Clara University is close behind with 27 volunteers.
The volunteers live in 48 JV houses in the U.S., 12 communities around the world and work for 289 different organizations. [Jesuit Volunteer Corps]
