Ringwood, Joseph D.

Fr. Joseph Dean Ringwood, SJ,  died on April 29, 2010 in the Jesuit Infirmary in Spokane. He was 81 years old.

Joseph Ringwood was born on April 1, 1929 in Spokane Washington and entered the Society of Jesus on September 8, 1948. He was ordained a priest on June 13, 1959 at St. Aloysius Parish in Spokane and took final vows in the Society on August 15, 1963. He died peacefully at the Jesuit Infirmary in Spokane, Washington on April 29, 2010.

Much of Fr. Ringwood’s life was devoted to high school and parish ministry serving at churches in Seattle, Missoula and Spokane as well as Gonzaga Preparatory School in Spokane.

Fr. Ringwood is survived by his brothers Jim and Pat Ringwood and his sister Doreen Tracy. He is preceded in death by his sister Rita Ringwood. He also had a number of nephews and nieces.
